My fondest childhood memories are of the endless summers I spent at Gramma and Poppa's house in central Oregon. Their home was one of the most exciting places for a city girl to be. Situated on five acres of land, there was plenty of room to let my imagination run wild while enjoying the dry, sunny weather and playing with the farm animals. Every summer I had the chore of feeding the chickens. The year I turned eight this chore was especially exciting; my grandparents let some of the hens actually hatch their eggs.
