I am a mid western girl but have lived in Utah since I married my husband 32 years ago. As a child I would make up friends and entertain my younger brother with stories of our escapades. We moved quite often and making friends wasn't always easy. Since I hated being alone, I would build on my imagination.
Now as a semi-retired grandmother of four, I'm making the time to write as much of those friends down as possible. The memory isn't the sharpest in the shed but it is trying. If only, if only, if only. After years of working in the medical field, I'm finally doing something I really enjoy. Writing. Putting everything down on paper (computer). With the help of two books, "Write Now" and "The Write-Brain workbooks, and Helium, I am writing everyday. What a blast.
Not that I haven't been writing, I have. But when one is writing a newsletter for 50 plus nurses on a hospital unit, flowery words or painting a picture just isn't appreciated. So, when I became pregnant, I prayed that God would give me a son. A boy that my husband could take fishing, help build birdhouses, and in time, fix cars with. God decided I should have a girl. I also underwent an emergency hysterectomy so this girl would be my only child. So tiny. So precious. I decided that this curly ...
