What's the alternative? Bad news? The question is posed in a manner that doesn't question the authenticity of the Gospels, merely whether they are good news or not. And the answer to that would seem to be purely subjective and dependent upon who was doing the answering. To some, the answer would be yes, to others, no. But for someone to say no, the gospels are not good news, leaves a void. If the news is not good, what is it?
