Hello there!
Allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Diane Burnside and I live in the Oakanogan as a recent empty nester, with my two dogs "Nikita" and "Frodo" , where I spend my leasure time writing and collecting medicinal herbs and wild edibles.
I am a writer a herbalist and I recently survived being a single mother of four!
I have also survived chronic fatiguue syndrome and suffered the loss of people i loved in about as many ways as you can lose someone
All of these things are true of me and yet none of these things define me.
they merely give others something to relate to. .With any luck something that I have been through can be useful in helping someone else. And if that turned out to be the thing that defines me I would not be unhappy, after all having something to strive for gives life meaning!
I spent most of my child hood in and out of hospitals and heavily medicated.
Since physically I was at a disadvantage I spent most of that time thinking, contemplating, and philosophizing and writing it all down in journals,a practice I still keep to this day.The bulk of which is being formed into my first book. - wish me luck and i look forward to reading your work!

There are three major styles of parenting (submissive, punitive and consequential) and each leaves its individual mark on what a child learns, how they see them self and how they will be treated by the rest of the world. Submissive parents’ parents tend to err on the side of protecting a child’s self esteem. They will show a lot of love but employ very little discipline, physical or otherwise, when raising children. Children from these homes are treated as though their feelings are more important than other peoples’. So when little Jonny decides, one day, to paint obsceni...
