My name is Robbie. I'm a stay at home housewife that used to be an Occupation Therapist, Tax preparer, Newspaper Printer, Artist, Writer, and Teacher, but am now retired. I'm happily married for the past 30 years and also a polio survivor, who tries to swim three times a week for at least an hour each day. I've written two books, a mystery and a poetry book that are published plus working on two more of the same type. I also love to cook, draw, sculpture, read, write and like almost any kind of music, plus play the guitar, the accordion and the piano.
Are You Forgetting Words, Names and Things Dysnomia? Dyslexia? Aphasia? Could you be experiencing this? I have found that getting older has caused me at times, to have trouble remembering a word I want to use. When this occurs it becomes necessary to try and find a substitute word instead, to say what I'm trying to relay. This is not uncommon as people age, but it is somewhat irritating, I must say.
