Mark A Escobar, a Filipino-born fellow who loves writing poetry, essays, and reflections holds his baccalaureate degree in English literature, along with his academic requirements in his graduate studies. His style and language evoke some kind of intimacy with the sacred forces as God takes the centerpiece in his writing. He constantly refers to the divine encounter vis-a-vis human experience.

Described as a source of the so-called spirituality in the conundrum of his life, his thoughts articulated in writing present a kind of journey - an inward journey which is highlighted with commitmnet. It's a continuing quest as he finds strength and promise in his faith. His love for the poor is committed to bringing to the fore the metaphor of Jesus as a Good Shepherd, a living icon of Beatitudes.

Mark, in his own way, has a life and relationship that is suffused with love especially for the poor. He writes with a great deal of meaning and profundity.

His favorite motto is 'Amor vincit omnia' (Love conquers all). He loves Filipino, Chinese dish along with the Italian cuisine.
