About me

Hi my name is Ashley, I am 22 years old. I love to write... lyrics, poetry, scripts - you name it I write it.

The Move:
Recently, I moved to Charlotte, NC from Sarasota, FL. I was born in Santa Ana, CA and then lived in Florida for about 15 years. Florida- what can I say?...Beuatiful, sunny, humid, sticky, and surrounded by crowds well beyond my age. I craved an evironment change, so last Spring break my boyfriend and I visited Charlotte- I fell in love. Charlotte- hip, fresh, young, with still a southern twist. I've visited large cities before but somehow Charlotte seemed much different than the televised "big apple" or the "city of angels." The people in Charlotte seemed so easy to get along with, the culture was exactly what my mind desired over the beach bum rich classics in CA and FL. Don't get me wrong there are alot of interesting people in those parts but when you've waited tables in either of those states you get a sense for vibes carried along in the souls of the coasts.

My History:
I was raised by the best Dad I ever could have, on the other hand I was also raised by a dangerously abusive step-mother. From the age of five I thought physical and mental abuse was alright. Brain-washed and mute in the presence of her...I didn't know what to say, how to act or what even to do in my free time. If I had the oppurtunity to change anything from my past, I would change nothing. I became who I am from all of those experiences-humility, torture, becoming socially distraught, but spiritully wise enough not to harm back even at the rebellious age of sixteen. I loved her and knew that there was something very wrong with her past. My parents seperated after awhile and I tried to keep in touch but she never changed, so gradually I moved on realizing it was better to stay out of her life and vice versa. I then broke out of my shell and became the spirited girl that was hidden within me for a very long time.

My Current Status:
I love music, I am currently going to school for music. I am learning more and more about piano but my main instrument is voice. As you know I moved and right now I am still settling in my new apartment. My boyfriend and I have just launched our website, I wanted to create a site where you can find entertainment in your area and find singles as well. On the site you can post blogs, promote your club/band/event, you can go to 3D chatrooms, and there is also a 3D city which is awesome, you can talk to people through video and audio enhanced private chatrooms, and so much more to list. We decided to make all of the features free for awhile. It's called thehotspotguide.com.

Some people consider waiting tables one of the most easiest jobs around. Others believe, "Yeah right, me taking your order while balancing a tray of five glasses of wine?" "Get the hell outa here!" Let's say I'm caught somewhere in the middle, and yes, I do serve the wonderful world their creme brulee. When I started waiting, I was around the ripe age of eighteen. Fresh out of high school, sharper than a tack, and well, more attitude in me than in your whole entire spice rack. While attending college and living on my own I knew this was basically the only option I had. I hated it, man did ...
