I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1977. I have acted, taught High School English, worked as a paraprofessional with seriously emotionally troubled kids, written (and continue to write) poetry, songs, op-ed pieces and product reviews, and have a part-time 'hobby' as a non-denominational minister in which I help people write their own wedding ceremonies and then perform them.
A product of the Boston Public Schools and the Universities of Wisconsin (at Superior) and California (at Berkeley,) I enjoy writing for recreation as well as reading the creative efforts of others.
I have been married to the same woman for 40 years, have an adult daughter and two grand children. They light up my life! (Grand parenting is one of the few things in this life that I have not found to be over rated.)
I own six or seven guitars (all acoustic) and try to play at least two of them each day as well as to write and post at least one on line article, poem or review every day.
I have just signed up here with Helium and am excited about the prospects it presents.
