I am a mom first and foremost. My children are my biggest joy and my biggest responsibility as a person. I am a rodeo competitor when I'm physically able, after having been injured in the service. I have traveled all over the western United States. My hobbies include reading, horses, raising dogs(Australian Cattle Dogs), equine massage therapy, and writing. I attended college for 3 years starting when I was 32 years old. I also enjoy doing my own vehicle maintenence and minor repairs. I have worked as a veterinary assistant, waitress, advertising writer, secretary, bookeeper, and the list goes on and on.
I love to tinker with vehicles. Even though I'm a "girl", I love to do my own vehicle maintenence, including changing my own oil, plugs, wires, and I have gotten trailer wiring down to a science. I worked at a service station when I was much younger, fixing tires and servicing cars. I grew up in a family of mechanics, and had my first motorcycle in 3rd grade. (Which I traded for a horse when I was a freshman in high school.... what is it about girls and horses?)
I'm a very friendly open person, and I love to talk to people with similar interests. I also like to help people when I can. I'm a creative soul, I love photography, having done some professional rodeo photography when my children were little.

I didn't grow up in a rodeo family. I never had a horse until I sold my motorcycle as a freshman in high school. I had friends who had horses when I was in elementary school, and they taught me to ride. I married a cowboy when I was 20. He grew up rodeoing. I basically got a crash course in rodeo. There was alot more involved than I thought. Eventually I got involved in rodeo as well. I now compete mainly in barrel racing, but I have worked as a secretary/timer, and have even owned some bulls that we leased to rodeo contractors. There are 7 regular events in most rodeos.
