About me - Glenda Thompson

About me

I have been a freelance photojournalist for the past 20 years. My specialties include community journalism and tourism. I have edited in-house journals for companies in Swaziland, South Africa and Zambia and have become firmly involved with the communities in each of these countries. I am also passionate about health, and as a baby boomer, am keen to try out anything that will help to keep me and my family healthy for ever! I have a fairly good knowledge of herbs and what they can do to help us live longer, better lives.
I'm a wife and mother (of adult children) and love sport, particularly swimming, golf and tennis. I also love adventure sport and have just done a short scuba diving course.
I firmly believe that we are on this planet to make a difference, and we should enjoy every second that we're alive - or learn from the seconds that are difficult to handle!

Then there are the stunningly fertile patches of arable land with rice paddies, coconut palm plantations and luscious tropical fruit in abundance. On to the Andes Mountains, - cold, aloof and mysterious and always visible wherever one is in Peru (if there is no cloud cover that is!) Finally, the Amazon jungle in all its glory. It is a country that is waiting to be explored, a little bit li...
