In November 2007 my daughter "forced" me to set up my own blog. I had no idea what I was doing. I just began to write. Friends and relatives took a look at my blog and commented that they loved a lot of the stories, especially the funny ones. One day I saw an ad on my blog about helium. You are not allowed to click on your own ads so I asked my daughter how I could find out about helium. She told me to Google the word "helium." Why didn't I think of that? I have been a part of helium now since January of 2008. I love reading other people's works and reading about why they like to write. There is such a wide spectrum of subjects to write on and helium has helped me to "find myself." I have been asking God for a long time where I should be.
I grew up on a farm, studied and worked as a secretary, helped my husband manage his businesses, volunteered in churches and served in ministry and youth groups, home schooled, worked at the college level in counseling and library facilities, worked for a major car manufacturer, kept books for property management companies, remodeled my home, owned a day care, cleaned houses, worked in a grocery store, sold encyclopedias, taught how to use reference materials, worked with dress design and tailoring, had a medical transcription business, do some gardening and crafts, studied and used natural health for over 20 years, etc. I have been a jack of all trades in the past and now I have an opportunity to use my gift of gab in writing. THIS IS FUN!
