I have been writing since I was a child, first for my elementary school newspaper in Chicago, and later in public relations agencies in New York. As a young woman, however, I was fascinated by the hearing impaired and won a fellowship to Columbia University in a special program that trained teachers to teach speech and language to deaf children. I have a Master's degree in this field and taught at several schools before traveling abroad with my husband, who was an importer.
After ten years of marriage and three daughters, I went through a difficult divorce, and in my search for a new life, made a career change into public relations. It was a whole new world for me learning about business and how to promote companies.
I was also busy as a mother and ran parties for singles, successfully bringing lots of people together and making extra money. I developed an interest in finance and was accepted into a training program at Prudential Securities where I obtained a Series 7 license and other financial services licenses. I spent the next five years as a financial adviser, but returned to public relations and wrilting, a field that suits me the best.
Currently, I am a journalist with The Prepaid Press, a monthly trade publication, and other local papers. My knack for writing about technical subjects and making the information understood by the general public has enabled me to develop public relations and marketing campaigns for engineers, lawyers, architects, doctors and other professionals.
When I'm not in South Florida, you can find me in San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, or New York City.

When we flew back to Florida, my Standard Poodle Jake, a certified service animal, stretched out in the bulkhead space at my feet. The flight was smooth as glass, but he kept lifting his head to look up at me with forlorn, questioning eyes. Somehow he knew I was taking him home, finally, after a six-week sojourn in the Northeast. It had been a hectic getaway out of Miami, driving 1400 miles to the New York City suburbs with a hired driver at the wheel of my car. We arrived at my daughter's house exhausted and stressed. Where were we? My 11-year-old black poodle ran around the place frantic...
