About me

I have been working as a dog trainer/handler for 25 years, and been a dog groomer for 10 years. My father owned a Greyhound (race dog) farm in Florida, and I spent my summers as a teenager working on the farm. This was by no means a puppy farm, we owned only males that were for stud service. We would then board and care for the females prior to and directly after the birth of a litter.

After a few summers of working with dogs (and horses), I knew this was the area that I wanted to focus my life on. I began working part-time at veterinary clinics after school, walking, and caring for pets.

This is a very low paying area of expertise, thus multiple jobs have always been in order. Many veterinarians, understanding that veterinary school would not be in my future (financially), took my interests to new levels by including me in one-on-one sessions of learning. Teaching me anything that I was willing to learn from them.

My very best friend is my dog Meucci. He is a nine year old Cocker Spaniel, just starting to show white around his muzzle. Talk about best buddies, Meucci and I have been through it all! He never doubts my decisions, just knows he will fall asleep tonight at the foot of my bed. If he is awake, he is happy and has a ball in his mouth! In fact that is how he starts every single morning, with a "ball search". When he has them all rounded up, he lines them up and gives each one a good squeak. Then it's pretty much nap time!

We may get together with "non-work" friends on Saturday for social events or just hanging out, and most of us drink then too. Most of us get up on Monday and go to work without thinking about last weekend or the coming one. While others cannot Remember what happened last weekend and cannot Wait for the next one. Just because you drink alcohol both days of the weekend does not mean that you are an alcoholic, many cultures drink wine daily. A small glass of wine with a meal on a daily basis is considered medic...
