The chains hold us back, tie us down, held by the old guard and cut by those brave enough to seek a better tomorrow for our children, a cleaner conscience for ourselves. Slavery, the oppression of women, and segregation, not only sins of our four fathers but remnants of a way of life that when viewed through the eyes of today seems almost unbelievable. Our sins will be viewed and counted against us as well, millions drown in a sea of poverty, our children remain under prepared for a more complex world then we faced. But as we have moved to clean these stains on our flag, many seem unaffect...
