I'm in my forties and loving life in Southeast Michigan. As a child, I'd always enjoyed writing and had hoped to become a famous author when I grew up. In actuality, I became a technical writer for a computer firm. My only book signings were for my tech support co-workers when I finished a user guide or tutorial! So here I am, venturing out to write something ... ANYTHING ... besides "Select xyz option and press ENTER."
But seriously, I am thankful for this life; I have been very blessed. I believe that every day is an opportunity to create something new and exciting, so here goes....

California Girl Goes to Winter Wonderland I grew up with Northern California winters that consisted of rain, overcast, and chilly temperatures. And by chilly, I mean in the 40's. I could get away with wearing a lightweight fleece-lined squall jacket for most of the winter, which lasted roughly from November to February.
