I have been writing since I was six. My first work was an illustrated story about wanting a dog. I haven't stopped reading, writing or creating since then!
I am a voracious and varied reader. I have written poetry, short stories, lots of term papers, college newspaper articles, presentations-you name it, I've written at least one! Unfortunately, I didn't keep much of my writing, because for the first 25 years of my life, I thought I was going to be an art teacher, and was busy preserving my artwork. But finally, the story that had been going 'round and 'round in my head needed to be told, so I am writing my first novel, a fantasy/SF. However, all the poetry I have submitted I actually took from my high school poetry journals, so they are over fifteen years old! Nowadays, I maintain three blogs!
I have a dual degree in Elementary Education/Liberal Studies. I have studied every subject at least 4 times! My husband was active duty in the early years of our marriage, so I went to a community college for a while, then transferred to a private school and received my Associates degree in General Studies before moving back to my origins. I got my bachelor's degree at the College of Notre Dame of MD. My favorite subjects have always been English/Literature, History (especially Ancient World), and Philosophy.
I have been a camp counselor, a babysitter, a nanny, a receptionist, a medical records assistant, a child care Group Leader, and a college library worker. I worked most recently at an educational store for teachers, working my way up from sales clerk to manager and then buyer for all three locations.
Currently I am a stay at home mom to my 3 children, ages 6, almost-4 and 7 months. My husband has been with the National Guard part-time for several years now, so I am a military wife as well. I recently quit doing direct sales in order to concentrate more fully on blogging and completing my first novel. I am currently pursuing another degree in Graphic Design with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's Online Division in order to follow my dream of illustrating my own children's books as well as the cover art of the novel I am working on.

Earth Dream Journal Entry Earth time: June 12, 2006 Some part of me knows I am asleep and yet I am still overwhelmed by fear. That night again, in front of my eyes, and this is all I can see: Lily smiling, orange firelight casting a sickly glow on her face, on the snow on the ground. The falling snowflakes, the fire, Lily, they are all silent. The only noise I can hear is the pounding in my ears. I brace myself for what I know is coming. I feel I am her, and yet myself at the same time. She leans in close to me, her features becoming distorted like a funhouse mirror reflection... her voice...
