About me

Hello to the Helium Community!

I am a 52 year old male living in Menasha, Wisconsin. I have been writing poetry for many years and have had my works published in various anthologies all across the United States. Currently my latest manuscript is being sent to publishers. This is the first time I have tried to get a publisher interested in my works as an entire collection.

I have recently started writing a fiction work which I am enjoying immensely, though is has been a long time since I have attempted this. I do like to write short stories as well but my mind set is on a full length novel. I am certain that I will be in this for the duration.

I am very new to the Helium Community and any advise any of you old pros here can give me would be well appreciated. I am looking forward to reading your posts as well as posting my own works for you to have a look at.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Writing poetry and science fiction

I know too much about ...

Nothing. No one can learn so much that they cannot learn something new.

My parents always told me ...

Don't be to quick to judge others. What appears to be obvious is not always as obvious as it appears.

My childhood ambition ...

To survive.

My favorite memory ...

Playing touch football in the street with my brothers and friends.

Why I write ...

I write out of a need to express.

My first job ...

Manager of a coin-op laundromat.

My inspiration ...

Deb. My loyal and very best friend, without whom I would not have survived.

Always

I remember it now in my days of grace
The warmth of your smile, you sweet embrace
The way the sunshine lights up you face
Always

How much you truly care about me
And totally unafraid to let the world see
A tireless affection that will ever be
Always

From Summer sun and lemonade
To the Winter cold and the snowball raid
It was the life which we had made
Always

In Autumn leaves, the barren trees
To Spring melt and warming breeze
I find my heart no longer at ease
Always

My heart wide open to receive
I once had a reason to believe
But I never thought you'd eve...
