About me

I am a writer about life, whether it is an experience with my children or grandchildren, a review of a new restaurant I've tried or a trip I've taken. I will be there telling you what I have taught my family or where to stay, where to eat or what to see on your next vacation.

I am a wife, mom and grandmother in southwest Missouri.

I love life, my family and my Yorkies. I enjoy traveling, gardening and water gardening.

I love exploring my local vacation spots and take pride in learning how to stay out of the hub of activity for that time of rest, while still being close enough to an attraction to enjoy what might be offered.

Watch the Travel Channel for articles by me on places to stay, where to eat and what to do in and around select cities.

Family humor and history are my favorite genre to both read and write. The Creative Writing Channel is dotted with humorous family articles I have written.

My childhood ambition ...

Even as a child, I wanted to make an impact that would outlive me.

My favorite memory ...

Watching my granddaughters births.

Why I write ...

Because I must. It calls to me.

She could afford to buy anything she wanted, back then.

It is past midnight when she makes her way under the bridge.
Her worn sweater will keep her warm, one more night.
She gathers her handful of battered items together as she spreads wide her cardboard box.

Carefully, she places the picture of her daughter near where she will lay her face.
She tucks the bottle into her waistband.

On more than one night, someone searching for her bottle had roused her.
