About me - Donna Pampalone

About me

I was born in the year 1956, in the city in which I have lived in all my life, Rochester, NY. I have been an avid reader all my life, and have been writing since I was very young.

I am a published author, my book, The Adventures of Koco Koala & Friends, Book One Cruisin' With Cameron was published in June 2007. The book was chosen as the Publisher's Choice for Book of the Week on July 30 through August 5, 2007. Books two and three are in the final editing process and are planned for publishing in 2008. To find out more about my book you can visit my website, Koco's Place at http://www.freewebs.com/dpampalone

I have several works underway, one of which is a novel, that I have been working on for several years. I hope to complete it soon and I look forward to publishing it shorly thereafter.

I love to write, it makes me who I am. It is the greatest expression of me and who I was created to be.

I am very happy to be a part of Helium it is a wonderful place to challenge my mind and my fingers tips, doing what I do best, write.

Thank you Helium for the opportunity you have given to share my writing with others.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Writing. Reading, and writing some more.

I know too much about ...

Nothing, I am always seeking to learn more. I feel I can never learn enough. My favorite quote is " A mind is a terrible thing to waste!" it came from a television commercial from when I was a teenager. The statement impacted my life like no other.

My parents always told me ...

"If you put your mind to it, you can do anything! You can do it."

My childhood ambition ...

to grow to touch the world in a special way.

My favorite memory ...

The day my first book was published and released. The day I held my author's copy in my hands.

Why I write ...

I always have. To express myself. To challenge myself. Because my head is always filled with something to write about. Because writing is me, and it makes me who I was created to be.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am reading my computer screen, I am watching my spelling, grammer and punctuation, as I listen to a million thoughts, whirl through my mind, that I need to write.

My first job ...

I worked in the wig department of a major Department Store.

My best moment ...

My best moments... my wedding day, the birth of my children, the publishing of my book, being notified by Helium of the quality of my writing!

My inspiration ...

God!

Our world would be a better place without deception, manipulation, abuse of power and control. If there were no greed, envy, or covetousness in the world, our world would be a better place. Remove slander, gossip, backstabbing, and liars from the world, and our...
