My name is Cindy. My passion of writing brings me here with all of you. Of course like all of you, I love to write. I find writing as a way to express my inner self at times. My writing brings out the fantasy world inside myself as well. I know almost everyone feels the same as I do on this site. I'm glad I can now come to a site where there are others who share and I can share as well. I love reading along with writing, so this site is perfect for me.
I am a 47 year old grandmother, raising a 6 year old grandson. I have made the step of getting my GED so I can home school him.
I have won a poetry contest online. I have taken 2 publishing courses through my local library. I have had an article printed in my local newspaper.
I am reaching for the stars with my writing works, as I think everyone should do, because I firmly believe everyone has a story or two in them to tell.
I have finished writing my childrens story that I have been working on and also I should be finished typing out my fantasy/fiction story I have done. So, shortly I'll be sending out my query letters this week. (crossing my fingers here). Then I will finish the story I have half way done.
I just find it amazing how many stories one person, such as myself, can come up with on a daily basis. Its too bad there wasn't more hours in the day to make them. he he
Walking For Your Life
When my weight reached 175 pounds I wasn't worried too much at the time. I automatically assumed that I could drop that weight at any given time and then I'd be fine. I was only kidding myself back then. I went to the doctors office some time after that and the nurse said to me, "You've gained more weight." I looked and she was absolutely right. I was now 183 pounds. I was in shock.
What I wasn't prepared for was when the blood tests came back and the doctor called and told me I had diabetes. Within five months from starting at 175, going to 183 I liter...
