Curiously, it was a recent decision to join an on-line dating service which rekindled my enthusiasm to write. Even in an arena such as this a certain amount of artistry in the written word reaps rewards for the craftsman. With my repartee having been well received I determined it was time to inflict my ramblings upon my peers, whether for criticism or acclaim, so be it.
I was recently described as being logical, amusing and mildly egotistical. Despite this coming from a young lady at the tender age of fifteen it is a summation which I find to be, somewhat unnervingly, perceptive.
Professionally, the majority of my career to date has been spent as a help desk/technical support operator and training manager for a retail media company.
I have written and been published previously on a small scale and have done a fair amount of work producing text for sales/marketing literature. Yes, I regret to say I have been responsible for some of those irritating items of junk mail which land on the doormat all too regularly. Time to take my abilities more seriously.
In a less than two year period I endured the breakdown of my marriage, suffered ill mental health followed by being made redundant at work resulting in my house being repossessed. A set of circumstances that could bestow anyone. On 10th March 2008 I became homeless.
Please check out my blog about life as a homeless person, The Hobo Days.

There is a lot to be said for intuition. Certainly, a notional amount of information can be gleaned within just a few seconds. A physical attraction could be almost immediately apparent. Perhaps the way a person smiles, or use of body language, may suggest that this person has the attributes of someo...
