Our house was typical, aside from its interesting architectural features, it was a typical three bedroom 2.5 bath home located on a small cul-de-sac. It was the product of the oil boom and a remnant of the subsequent bust. My parents lucked into it as property after property fell into foreclosure. June of 1986 was when the house officially became ours. We were the first to ever live in the home, having been vacant since its construction in 1983.
