: About Me

This picture is of me and my youngest son Joey, who is 4 years old now. He is one of four babies left to me by my late wife Barbie, who died as a result of acute polypharmacutical intoxication,or basically, an overdose of alcohol and methadone. Now, I am a single father 44 years of age, I am a sophmore in college majoring in chemical engineering. I am also a disabled veteran of the armed forces as well as a professional musician. I love to read much more than write but sometimes, I just have to write things down. I like to read science fiction novels, anything by Steven King, but I really like to write storys about real life. Things that I have experienced. More than anything, I love my children above all and the memory of their mother will linger with me forever.

Ongoing story. This is my fourth article on Helium telling the story of how drugs and alcohol tore my family apart. Let me tell you, I never dreamed that an addiction problem in ones family could go so far as this story will tell. First, I would like to say hi to Kevin and many thanks for his support.
