I am the Channel Steward for Travel, destination South America. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Born and raised in upstate New York, my family has always accused me of having wanderlust. It must be true because you can now find me living in Santiago, Chile. I landed here after a brief career in the airlines and visits to several other parts of the world, including Scotland, England, Italy, Israel, and Egypt, to name a few. These experiences have provided a deep well to draw from when looking for something to write about.
I'm now working for a bilingual on-line news service, headquartered in Chile and everyday is a new adventure. After a brief time of settling in I have adapted to my new home and new culture. If a person keeps an open mind, there are many wonderful things you can learn from other cultures and share with the rest of the world. Do I miss my native home? Sometimes. Mostly I miss the odd things like... English muffins, the incredible variety of product choices in the supermarket, real cotton socks, and friends.
I'm a bit new to the world of writing, well, publishing my writing at least, but I have been writing all my life. It was a gift I received from my mother, who loved to write, but coming from an older generation, sacrificed that career for family. I will try to honor her gift by sharing what she has given me.

If you are looking for adventure, you are sure to find it in Chile. Maybe you are an avid skier but your travel partner prefers fun in the sun at the beach; no worries, both of you can enjoy your chosen activities, and all within the same day.
Situated on the Pacific Ocean side of South America, with Peru to the north and Bolivia and Argentina to the west, Chile is approximately 2,880 miles (4,506 km) long, but averages only about 110 miles (180 km) in width.
