: About Me

Hello, my name is Gretchen Parent, I am the mother of two wonderful (spoiled) children. My daughter is 6 yrs old and my son is nearly 2yrs old. I have been married to their father for nearly 9 years now. I am a work at home mom, wife, housekeeper, cook, chauffeur, teacher, and disciplinarian. I live on coffee 99% of the time. I have a lifelong friend that helps to keep me sane when I think I have taken on too much. She has always been there for me when I need to vent, cry, complain, or just need some one to run away with for the weekend when I feel I am going to just lay down and expire. I also have 1 dog, 1 cat (the most spoiled of my kids), and 4 horses that keep me pretty busy. I absolutely love animals and teach my kids how to properly care for, respect, and treat animals. I have my daughter in 2 4-H clubs and I am the leader of one of them, she is also in our local saddle club where she has a chance to be with other horse enthusiasts during the summer months, and girls scouts where she can also do CS and have fun with her friends. I believe in children learning about agriculture and community service at a young age, especially community service. I always tell my daughter that no matter how bad our situation gets, their is always other people who are worse off.
