As a professional baker and writer, I feel blessed that I can create art every day. Plus, how many people get to work a day job that requires them to be up to their elbows in chocolate? I have been writing as long as I can remember, and am slowly making the transition to freelancing. Fiction is still my passion, but I am very private about what I write.
Baking became my second passion at a young age. I would bake with my grandmother sometimes, and remember standing on a stool to help her roll balls of cookie dough in powdered sugar. Baking wedding cakes allows me to help people make wonderful memories.
My professional certifications include both nutrition and kitchen safety and sanitation. As you can imagine, these are both important topics for any chef to understand!
I love Helium for its ability to inspire me. This site has challenged my talents and gotten me to write on subjects that I hadn't tried before. I also learn something new every time I come online to read articles.
In fact, one of the most important things I try to do is to learn something new every day. The moment I stop learning and growing is the moment my writing becomes stagnant. Education is vitally important to me.
