I am a middle-aged mother of three, grandmother of five. I was born and raised on a farm in Missouri and recently relocated to North Dakota when my husband changed employment.

I have been employed in the legal and medical fields in clerical capacities, and for the past ten years have done medical coding and billing.

My hobbies include doing genealogy research, cooking, sewing and crafts. I like to keep up on current events, and new innovations in farming, cooking, child rearing and many other areas.

The thought of homemade ice cream brings back many memories of family gatherings. Everyone in the family was involved in the making of this delicious summer treat. The ladies hovered over the stove with their secret recipes for the custard mix - each with their specially formulated flavor; the men procured and prepared the ice for freezing; the children took the first turns at the crank when the turning was easy, and the men took over when their expertise in finishing the product was needed.
