: About Me

My name is Samantha, I am 17 years old. I have one daughter and another baby on the way. I am proud to be married and a parent at this age. I feel I do the job well, therefore why not be proud of what I have done. I quit school when I was 15, (not because I was pregnant, that came about after I quit) I guess because I became bored with it. Doesn't everyone? I just didn't have the motivation needed. I now plan on earning my GED through an online course offered by a community college nearby. Hopefully, writing will prove successful for me, but with so many aspiring writers around, I sometimes feel that will be impossible. Nevertheless, I will always try and to me and some others that is what counts.

About my writing:
I have been writing since a young age. I would sit down with a dictionary and just copy words and there meanings when I was little. Now, I'm not sure if I did this out or boredom or because, I wanted to learn, most likely both.
When I was around 8 years old I would write stories, short stories, and usually they were of some kind of mystery. As I got slightly older and became depressed, I discovered poetry. It was amazing that I could sit down and write poem after poem. Most of them have became lost although, if I look hard enough through the mess in my room, I just might find them.
Through school I picked up english and grammer with ease, therefore I always excelled in english class. Now as I'm getting older, I wish to do something with my ability to write well. I'm hoping that Helium.com can help me and give me the oportunity to do so.

My daughter, she is everything in my world. Once my second child gets here, in March of 2008, it will become, my children are my world...

How people think and why they act the way they do. I tend to analyze everyone, which helps me help people but the only person I can't seem to help, is myself...

Why I write ...

I feel that writing is something I am good at. When there is something you are good at and in some cases things you are not, you indulge yourself in them...

My first job was a produce assistant at a local store. I worked there with my mom which was great!

Immigration to the United States is a problem. It wouldn't be so bad if the immigrants went through the process of becoming a citizen, followed our laws, and spoke the national language, instead many immigrants are illegal, they break the laws, and we can't understand anything they say. When you watch the news you see how an illegal alien has killed someone due to drunk driving or has been arrested for numerous amounts of drugs.
