About me

Briefly me

My passion is ...

writing, reading, learning, my family

I know too much about ...

sleepless nights due to getting too involved in reading or writing something exciting.

My parents always told me ...

"Put that book down and spend time with us."

My childhood ambition ...

To be a writer and a tornado chaser! I grew up in Kansas!

My favorite memory ...

The very first moment I looked into each of my children's eyes.

Why I write ...

I have a hard time putting my thoughts into spoken word. Writing has always brought me out of my shell.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Funny you should ask. My two year old is watching Spongebob at the moment!

My first job ...

I started babysitting at the age of 10 for a single mother who had 4 children, all under the age of 4. Now that I look back at it, I don't know how I did it. I've just always loved kids!

My best moment ...

Everyone always says the obvious, "when I had my children" or "when I got married." And, those were incredible moments and the happiest days of my life so far. But I really think my best and proudest moment is yet to come.

My inspiration ...

My grandmother was a big inspiration to me. She raised six kids with basically no money, all on her own. It reminds me of a quote from Helen Keller that I have framed: "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do."
