: About Me

I have been writing since childhood, and I made my first sale of an article with photographs at the age of 15. The editor changed it so much that I did not recognize the words when it came out in Alive!, a Sunday school magazine for teens. I have also written for a number of student publications.

I married a writer and participated in some of his work. You might have heard of Philip K. Dick, author of Bladerunner and A Scanner Darkly.

Now that I am in my early fifties, I have more time to devote to my writing. I write for several web sites, including Helium, and several of my novels are available on Amazon dot com.

I am owned by eight cats and one lonely dog. One of my cats, Tuffy, has a web site and e-zine.

I have to go and feed the critters now.

Looking up from the sink where she had spat out a mouthful of toothpaste, Mathilda shrieked at the face in the bathroom mirror.  Instead of her own smooth skin and warm brown eyes, she had caught a glimpse of a savage animal with furred cheeks and eyes of fire.  It persisted for only a moment, a slice of time too short to measure, but there it was, staring at her from the dimension of imagination.  Mathilda knew what the face was telling her when it growled from behind the mirrored glass.  That face belonged to her, or she belonged to it.  It knew what she had done...
