: About Me

I grew up in Jackson, Tennessee and enlisted in the US Navy in 1969, and spent the next 20 years of my life traveling all over the world. I left the Navy in 1989 to settle in Tarpon Springs, Florida where I live today. "Reflections on the passing of Time" "Letter to my Grandson" was inspired by one of my very favorite people in the world, my first Grandchild...young Ty, who Rocks my world!

Is he behind me now? For me, I have decided not to be old or to let myself become old. In my mind, I live forever in my youth. My back is stronger today Than it was when I was 19; my arms able to carry heavier loads; Where is this old man that looks for me now? He is not Here. And should he show up at my door, I shall not let him in! I Drink at the fountain that is fed from the oceans I have sailed. When I Look up to the sky at night, I see the Northern Lights jarting to and fro, all about My ship. I see, in the otherwise utter darkness, aboard my lone vessel At sea, a million million star...
