While my first name is Irene, I have used Ann or Annie all my life. (44 years of it! ouch)
(long story but the short version: First Born Family Tradition)
I live in paradise in North Queensland.
I love writing! I love reading! I love life!
I have a diploma in Journalism, love creative writing and short stories and have won numerous literary competitions. I have also published a poetry book titled "The Circle of Life", with internationally acclaimed poet Heather Quarry.
This was a personal project depicting poems of the people and significant history of the town where I reside and an achievement I'm very proud of.
I now work from home freelance writing along with updating several successful websites, which have now afforded me the opportunity to take a leap of faith and give up the ratrace to do what I love best: Write, inspire and help others through the power of the written word.
I'm proud to say that no less than Five of my short stories and several articles, appear in Tafe College instructional writing course booklets, throughout Western Australia as samples.
My writing style is light but informative and I hope never judgmental.
I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and no one person is right or wrong. Your opinion is after all a reflection of your belief and a belief is just a thought you keep thinking. You're entitled to your own.
As for my photo? Well I've placed Autumn Annie up there for a while due to a fall where my front tooth was chipped in half. Not a pretty sight. So here's to earning enough on Helium for a new smile!
