About me - Selina Jacobson

About me

Briefly me

My passion is ...

writing, of course, fantastic shoes, the ocean, great novels

I know too much about ...

how much I still want to see, hear and learn

My parents always told me ...

"You can do anything you want" and "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"

My childhood ambition ...

To be a writer. I always had a book in hand and would read for hours. There was something extraordinary about everyone else's life and I loved being let in to their world. I always wanted to create those worlds and emotions with my own words.

My favorite memory ...

My first slow dance with my husband. It was two days after we had met and he was really nervous to dance with me. I rubbed his hand with my thumb as we danced, and that was when he said he fell in love with me. I already had.

Why I write ...

I think it's pretty incredible to get lost in a world created from my own head and the high one gets from putting the exact right combination of words together that makes all the pain worth it.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

inbetween novels - my Chihuahua sleeping - silence

My first job ...

Mucking out stalls in a horse barn. It still remains as my favorite job out of everything I've done.

My best moment ...

Getting married. Being a bit of a committment phobe, this was no easy task.

My inspiration ...

Love.
