Received a Convent Boarding School (Limerick, Ireland) and College education. Won a writing contest with competing schools.. the prize having my story read out on BBC school radio. Joined RAF to train and work as a nurse, nursing in field, aeromed and hospital. Left RAF still nursing but eventually moved over to social care work (special needs, deaf, autistic and children at risk). Inbetween found time to help as a volounteer medic on a Search & Rescue Team in N.W.England.
Eventually found myself attracted to the TV/Film Industry and after doing a course, worked TV/Film (film/tv extra sometimes with small speaking parts) both in the UK(NEMESIS Manchester)1993-2001 and here in the USA (BARBIZON) 2002-2004, as one of my hobbies whilst still working within the Health Care Industry. My other hobbies include horse-back riding (when I can), taking long walks into the countryside, (getting back in touch with nature and all her riches that are there to be found all around us.. if only more people would take the time to look and really see). Also I love listening to music ,classical and modern, writing (had one book published in paperback in 1992 and was interviewed by BBC Radio re: marketing and promoting it) now have two children short stories waiting for publication. Have done Kick-Boxing for self defense. Enjoy dancing and being with my family as much as possible. Do acrylic/watercolour paintings, and recently have had two galleries interested and displaying my work (take a peek at my 'Add A Favorite'). I love animals and helping others.. hence nursing and social care. Now if I can reach out to help people in different ways including through my art work to lift peoples moods, and through my writing then I am more than happy. I am also interested in Psychic Awareness and have been on a ghost hunt or two..very interesting!
If only life could be so simple... it is ourselves that make our own problems...as humans we are not perfect and because of that there is so much turmoil in our world today. If only people learned that life is a very precious gift... that it is not to be taken for granted or abused...and learn to respect it...If only we could all learn to live and share and treat each other as equals...less self indulgence...greed. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will only then know peace!

to be a Prima Ballerina
My favorite memory ...
Lying in a field of grass as a child and watching the soft white swirling clouds above gracefully move across the backdrop of a brilliant blue sky with the sound of the humming bees busy at their work all around me whilst I could feel the gentle summer breeze blowing softly across my face. When my two sons were born..
Why I write ...
To reach into the hearts and souls of humanity.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
cinemagic...plays soundtracks to films on screen
My first job ...
working in an office as a clerk/typist.
My best moment ...
Coming through my second round of breast cancer in 2008
My inspiration ...
My mother...she was a champion for those less fortunate and mistreated. Even throughout her nursing career she found time to write and speak out for those less able.,battled through Breast Cancer with still a smile on her face, never complaining. Most of all told me to reach for the stars, never stop dreaming..never stop believing. I have passed these words of inspiration on to my two wonderful sons, and my husband took my advice and such he has had poetry (his secret passion) published.
The young female seagull looked upwards towards the bright sunshine as its brilliant rays showered the earth from above. She was always asking questions and looking for answers.... there was no satisfaction with answers ending in 'maybe' or 'perhaps'.. she was tired of the stalling and the differing of her questions to other topics in the hope that she would give up with her incessant curiosity and just do like the others and be satisfied with the way things were, as they had always been. No, not this time. Now it was time for her to do something... something no one had dared to do o...
