: About Me

I live in Newfoundland, Canada, where I've spent most of my life working construction. By night (and on weekends) however, I doff my work gloves and retreat into the world of literature. There, I read constantly and write whenever the compulsion overtakes me.

As far as credentials go, I write for Helium, Associated Content and Bukisa, where I've found moderate success whenever I make even the smallest of efforts.

Beyond that, I do copyediting work for several private clients and serve as a moderator on one of the better poetry workshops to be found on the Internet.

My passion is ...

Primarily literature, although my love of music and my natural affinity for painting and photography should probably count as well.

I know too much about ...

Random things that have little or no practical value, except for making me quite the armchair Jeopardy(!) contestant.

Why I write ...

What started as a means of self-expression quickly became a compulsion, and then something more. Sound familiar?

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Pride and Prejudice won the coin toss. I make a point to catch House each week, and music, well, it changes. But for good measure, the Counting Crows, Guns N' Roses and David Bowie have been getting a fair amount of air time.
