Born and raised in the small community of Glen Margaret, near Peggy's Cove, NS. Became involved in the commercial printing business until 1982. Took the leap to my own picture framing establishment while pursuing a painting and photography career at the same time.
Began writing in 2004 by developing the legend of Peggy of the Cove. Self published my first novel in a series of four, late 2004, and the first in a series of children's books, by February 2005. The second novel is complete, except proofing, with the release aimed for early spring 2008.
A Grant of Option for a TV series and or full feature movie has been signed with Cathleen MacDonald of Motion Picture Enterprises Inc., Mississauga ON. Cathie is currently working on the script.
Wife, April, has sculpted Peggy of the Cove along with three main characters. Dolls are her passion.
Four children: Jay, teaches English in Korea; Bethanne, manages my framing business; Ryan, studying Outdoor Pursuits at Canadian University College, Alberta, and Brandon, taking Psychology at Mount St. Vincent University in Halifax.
