Felicia "Meme" Jeffries was born in a small town in North Mississippi. She had a humble start. Growing up in a farm environment, yet not quite a farm, she learned about hard work. Being an only child, in a Christian environment, she learned to jump mental hurdles and "invent" bright ideas. Having older parents put in her the values that society is throwing away by the "bundles." Felicia herself left those values for a time, but the values did not leave her heart. Felicia's life is an example of someone making a "comeback" and for bettering themselves in life.
"Stay away from that girl" was something that Felicia heard beginning at the age of thirteen. Many people would say that a person's association does not have an affect on the other person. But, Felicia is a living example of a good girl gone bad (for a while)as a result of her choice of association. Felicia has wished a many a days that she would have taken heed to the word spoken above by her loving mother. Felicia's life took a downward spiral into drugs, sex, and fast living with a "friend" who encouraged rebellion against her parents.
Fake ID's, flashy clothes, and hair weaves, defined the teenage years of Felicia's life. Partying and popularity became a way of life. By the time she was fifteen, she had a new group of five peers. They had one thing on there mind partying. There was one person in that group who became the closest friend she had since her grade school best friend. That friend would later have a big part in changing Felicia's life.
By the age of seventeen Felicia and her friend had plans to move away from the town that Felicia had known for home all her life. Her head was big and she had outgrown her britches. But she was just a minor and green to the world. This led to a life of underage stripping in strip clubs for fast money. So Felicia ended up with a pimp. But not for long. She had plans.
There were plans in the making for Felicia and two of her friends to go out of state to Job Corps and get there life on track. So two weeks after the escapades in the strip club, (the pimp and strip club incident only lasted two weeks) Felicia was shipped of to Job Corps. She took up a trade and completed her GED course, got in trouble and was picked up by non other than her parents to return back to her hometown.
In the process of the Job Corps page in life, she met a young man who later became her husband. By the time Felicia was eighteen, she was married in an unstable marriage, and a baby in the making. Another chapter.
By the age of nineteen and the last straw. (Her husband cheated with her cousin's wife)("My cousin's wife was the first bad association mentioned at the beginning of this biography") She felt it was time to move on. She moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where she became a car-saleswoman. Six months later, her husband was gone back to where he came from, Florida. This helped her to partially get her life on track. Until, one day a "bright idea" came to mind. She would start her own escort service and exotic calender. Till this day she doesn't know where that idea came from.
By this time, her friend mentioned earlier had moved to Texas after loosing a child. This soon became her business partner. For six months later, Felicia was fired from the car lot for not coming to work on her off day and coming to work that same day to sell a car, only to receive a pink slip in hand after the deal was closed. That was her opportunity to put the escort service into action.
With a "down" business partner, four girls and her first party, the business was booming from there. Until, trouble came. This was the beginning of a new beginning in Felicia's Life. Felicia had to pack up and move everything she could carry in the blink of an eye.
Texas is where she ended up at the age of twenty- one. With time to think and reflect on her life, she saw it was not a life to live for a mother of a little girl. She decided to get back into the bible and found a wonderful mentor, Diane McDonald. She was a wonderful friend and encouraging positive companion for Felicia. She taught her many things from the bible. The bible is credited for the change Felicia has made in her life. She no longer smokes marijuana or pop Ecstasy. She is a twenty seven year old mother of one. And she is engaged to be married to a wonderful man. Although her life has not been "gravy". She has learned from her mistakes and vows to try and live by what she has learned in the Bible. Felicia still loves to look her best, but partying has become a thing of the past. She enjoys time with a better choice of friends who respect and uphold the same values she she regained.
Texas is Felicia's home now. She is a small business owner and poet. She is the founder of the annual "Poetry Slam Jam", a poetry competition aimed at the youth to encourage them to become something better in life that just a statistic, through poetry. She is a secretary of a non profit group known as the Plan Fund. She is a teacher of the bible and a writer in the Helium world and spoken word artist. Many of her life lessons and experiences will be reflected in her writings. Along with her regained values and morals. We hope you enjoy reading her articles.

In a world where love seems to be dying, it becomes more and more important for individuals to evaluate their personal situation in the aspect of love. Love is something that should come natural. Expressing love should not be like a part time job. It shouldn't be "called in for duty" at certain times and other times be turned off. That leans toward more of a liking than love. A perfect definition of love is found at 1- Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own int...
