I was born in Johannesburg in the fifties and am a classic baby boomer.
I grew up in the northern suburbs of the city where I went to school and university.
During the political upheavals of the late seventies, I left South Africa and settled in the middle east. There I worked for an international company for some years.
In the eighties I lived and worked in London where I was on contract to the world famous Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
I returned to my homeland in the mid eighties and became eligible to do military service for two years.
I then spent some twenty years in retail management heading flagship establishments for some of the top local and international designer jewellers.
I began writing and was first published in a book in 2006.
