: About Me

Hello. My name is Jina and I hail from the Buckeye State of Ohio.

As early as I can remember, I've been "a creative soul." My foray into writing started as an 11 year old in the 6th grade. I wrote, starred and directed a play that was written for my history class.

It has only been in more recent years, that I've appreciated my ability to write and "the gift of writing" in other people.

Someone once said that our gifts should be used to bless other people. As I get older, I believe this statement to be true.

Two (2) of my best writing accomplishments to date:

(1) My accepted writing submissions to Xulon Press, a Christian Publishing Company and ...

(2) Getting an "A" on my Thesis, for school (Talk about work and rewrites!)

Although I enjoy writing, I haven't decided if I have the discipline to do it as a freelancer - or as an alternate career. Right now, I'm just learning the "do's and don'ts" of writing and finding inspiration here on Helium.

Currently, I work at a local hospital and I have always worked in the medical field. I've spent time in the Military, and much time pursuing my education.

I consider myself to be a creative, hardworking individual, that enjoys planning and organizing events for my family and friends. I recently initiated the Neighborhood Reunion (in 2008), which had its 2nd event this past August in 2009. To say the least, - I am fueled by my creative desires.

My hobbies and interests are varied. So long as it's something creative ... "I'M A HAPPY SOUL!" A co-worker once said: "Give that girl, a box of crayons and a piece of paper, and she's the happiest person in the world!" ..... For the most part this is true. But I do enjoy quiet times at home, and one-on-one conversation.

In the future, I hope to be self-employed, traveling more and just being in touch with the world.

At the moment ..... It's a joy to live life.
