About me - Phyllis Capanna

About me

The one consistent thread in my fabric is writing. Other than that, it's a crazy quilt of many activities centered mostly around being creative, doing what I want, and cooking and eating lots of good food. I am also owned by a dog and two cats, who are kind to me allow me to type for hours on end while they entertain themselves chewing rawhide and chasing phantoms, respectively.

Frame drumming, organic food, simple living, shamanism, consciousness, peace: These are my current passions.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

passion.

I know too much about ...

sorting and disposing of junk, and how best to help old people in the bathroom.

My childhood ambition ...

teacher, nurse, or spy.

My favorite memory ...

waking up this morning and feeling happy to be alive.

Why I write ...

Same reason I have blue eyes: It's how I'm made.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

The Power of Now/A New Earth/ Ask yourself Questions and Change Your Life/Kali's Odiyya/Blissed Out Radio online

My first job ...

fill-in organist and page turner in a Presbyterian church

My best moment ...

today, was changing my pen name to my real name. But I'm still in love with Periwinkle Dragonetti, an amalgam of my first pet's name and my mother's maiden name. No lie!

My inspiration ...

fellow seekers who experience the extraordinary in the ordinary.
