My exploration into neuroscience began with my interest in how food can effect one's mood. It started with a classic entitled, "Goodbye Allergies" by Judge Blaine. Here he discusses his observations of people and how the individual diet seemed to influence one. From there I read books such as, "Awakening Your Intuition" by Mona Lisa Schulz and "Molecules of Emotion" by Candace B. Pert. I have also enjoyed reading interviews by Bill Moyer about the mind/body connection, as well as Deepak Chopra books. I have dabbled in Indian philosophy through Dr. Wayne Dyer's "Your Sacred Self." I look forward to reading Candace B. Pert's latest, "How To Feel Go(o)d."
I also write. I love to write poems, short stories, essays, etc. Please, feel free to view my work on Helium.com and tell me what you think.

As the wind gently blew the white shear curtain, away went ruminants of grief and sorrow from my soul. A window opened, and the breeze that blew let cleanliness flow through. Chasing away the darkness, like the shadows run from the light. Staring at the ceiling can help ensure a peaceful night. But my mind is restless, as I stare at the cracks. The ceiling seems to sway forward and back. So I close my eyes and slowly I breathe. The visions would not stop even with my eyes shut. Only my medicine holds a guarentee that tonight I will sleep, and get some relief.
