Forbidden Love

We can't be together, we're not supposed to.
I know you like me, you know I like you,
So what's the problem?
We share the same beliefs, the same culture in fact.
Does that make a difference?
We also share the most important thing of all.
Of course we should know,
But we obviously have no clue.
In our bodies, in our families.
As different as they may seem,
Our families are connected.
I have only found out.
