I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas shortly after the end of WWII. I lived there until I married, and then moved all over Texas with one small excursion into Oklahoma that lasted 2 years. My childhood was charmed compared to what my children and grandchildren have had to deal with. The most dangerous thing I was introduced to as a teen was beer. Fortunately, it tasted pretty foul to me, so it was never an issue for me.
Music (most kinds, though rap doesn't do anything for me) has always been a great love of mine; consequently, I married a musician. We have three grown children and 7 grandchildren. I am a Christian and am essentially a conservative who believes less is better where government is concerned. I am the director of a non-profit program that supplies seniors to tutor and mentor special needs children and youth in public places.
I love school and wish I had time to attend non-stop; I even like writing papers; ergo, signing on to this program seems like a good fit for me.
