About me - Ferg Fontaine

About me

I have always enjoyed writing but as I get older I attribute this to being opinionated...possibly to an extreme. I've recognized a few character flaws that I am absolutely annoyed with in others happen to be very evident in my own life; this stings a bit. I love to write poetry, and to write about family and relationships. I started writing a book in 2006 but cannot seem to find a finishing point.  However, I don't know if it would amount to more than a pamphlet due to the amount of content. I have only sold one article on Helium but find myself ever hopeful to make it as a proficient writer on issues of the heart. I am a City Clerk in a small Georgia town and have been for almost 8 years. Even when writing my Minutes for our meeting I am convinced that years from now the Minutes I write will be part of some poor students history paper. I owe it to him or her to leave the best darn minutes possible. I am happily married, and have been for 25 years. We have 3 remarkable sons and a perfect grandson. Each son holds a special place in my heart but for all different reasons. And our grandson could possibly have a divine ora about him that woo's us in for a covert brainwashing. I happen to believe my sons are all three strikingly handsome, although I am a tad bit bias on the subject. My favorite poem was written for my sister shortly after her daughters were killed in a tragic automobile accident. I have many poems from that moment in my life but one always stands out ... I am aware that I have a long way to go to reach my goals as a writer but I am also aware that "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". So I've set my mark in writing as well as the mark I've set for my life; God knows what that is and He alone will help me finish this race....

When a person decides to begin journaling, he has begun a path of self balance or checks and balances, call it what you like. You will most definitely gain insight into your own well being. The individual who journals has also begun a journey to freedom in ways they could not have imagined. Journaling doesn't have to be a rigid exercise of futility; in fact, let it be the...
