When I was younger things were a little more defined. Movies came out in theaters and people's private ramblings stayed locked away in diaries with tiny keys that got lost more often than used. The only way to show personal expression to the world at large was through independent films, which were still relatively expensive to make. The internet changed that with a vengeance. Chatrooms, email pen pal lists, forums, blogs. Then the coupe de grace, online video.
