I am first and foremost a woman deeply in love with Jesus. My husband of 26 years is a Calvary chapel pastor and he is still amazing. I am also the mother of five and grandmother of six. I grew up in a small town and still have many hometown roots but we ended up in Las Vegas. I have discovered that people and their struggles are pretty much the same no matter where you go - it's just a little more obvious under the casino lights!

I sat across from her in the restaurant, the dim lights unable to conceal the bruising and swelling around her left eye.
