In college, I majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology and started working in education. I have worked with developmentally disabled children and teens as well as kids who were labeled "severely emotionally disturbed."
I also started taking in stray cats and kittens when I was in college. It started with one or two, but word spread quickly. Neighbors were knocking on my door every week with sickly and orphaned kittens they had found wandering the city streets. Soon, there were seventeen cats in my small two bedroom home.
Now that I live in the country, there aren't stray kittens walking the streets anymore, so my volunteer work is less hands on. I spend a lot of my time spreading the word over the internet, usually via Myspace.
Sex education is another big interest of mine. I spend a lot of time answering sex, body, pregnancy, and birth control questions that teens post on educational websites.

There's a lot to know when it comes to sex. All those myths and rumors floating around certainly don't help matters either!
