Hi all, I'm Ray Burke and I am your Helium Subchannel Site Steward for Ancient History, part of the Arts and Humanities Channel.

I am a graduate from University College London having completed an MSc degree in Archaeology.

I love writing and am seeking a new, challenging career either writing articles, sci-fi stories/books, creating tv programmes or working as a media researcher.

My interests include:
Science Fiction writing (unpublished), TV programme writing (uncommissioned), Archaeology, Photography, and Sports (athletics, football, American football).

I am also a member of The Mars Society and try to attend EuroMars conferences.

Where Are the Aliens?

Are we alone in the Universe? At this very moment someone, somewhere around the world is bombarding the galactic airwaves with our radio, TV, microwave, infrared and other communicative signals. We are peering into the distant cosmos with huge telescopic eyes, from within and beyond our atmosphere, and listening with straining radio-telescopic ears for that historic First Contact with beings from another world.
