I am a single mom with two teenage children, who both inspire me, and drive me crazy. I have been umemployed this past year, due to a sudden and unexplained illness..I am hoping to be back in the work force soon, as staying at home can become depressing quickly. I love to read magazine articles, and think there is nothing better than a good science fiction novel. I discovered helium through an email inviting me to check it out...it is a great place to voice an opinion or find out what other people are saying.

Sometimes I feel as if I was somehow singled out at birth to be the underdog, scapegoat, human doormat if you will. I have two children who for some reason believe that I am the housekeeper, cook, maid, chauffeur, and all around servant...at their beck and call every moment of every day, to cook their meals, wash their clothes, clean their rooms and drive them to school and work...yes work..these are not little children..these are grown up people seventeen and nineteen years old.
