About me

I am sorry to disappoint everyone (including publishers) here, but I am writing (sometimes) as 0 Lionlaker. I currently live in Singapore, where the national sports teams are nicknamed "the Lions". Then my favorite basketball team is the Lakers, playing in Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, United States. (But they started as the Detroit Gems before they moved to Minneapolis and then Los Angeles). Aha, hence my unique pen name.

For my life, I used to chase all the stars and all the achievements of the world. I once thought I can excel in all my interests. Indeed... I think I once had the most friends on myspace in Singapore, I'm not sure. I have the most stars on helium from Singapore. I think I was also the 10th best player playing Sim City 4 - in Asia. What does these all make any difference on my life? I am still an unhappy person who cannot settle down for a decent job (or even degree) and I do not even like to stand still and enjoy the beauty of the daily sunrise and sunsets! I can't be myself because I have to obey my family's wishes and I think they conflict with my personality. That happens to me because I am stupid enough to follow orders from others, but yet not so stupid to the extent that I can think for myself, deciding what is best for me. I'm simply tired NOW!

No matter who I am or what I appear to be, be it "Tim Ng" (thank god for IPA, Ng is pronounced as the 'ng' in the word "sing") or "zerolionlaker" or whatsoever similar names... I hope that one day, I will take care as far as what my parents wish - they gave birth to me so I owed them immensely. But after they die, I will hope that everything remains status quo (if possible) - then I would want to pursue the narrow interests I have in my life...

1) Sports, I mean watching sports. I am never active but at least I love to be thrilled when a team wins. I love basketball, ultimate and surfing. Oh, they represent, respectively, the so-called "spectator", participant and extreme sports. Wow!

2) Arts, particularly literature (non-fiction ones especially) and (hip-hop) music... I am open to anything else though but I am uncouth, I like everything presented as what they should be - hence my taste of arts.

3) Anything happening in any place related to beautiful waterside places...

That's me.

Sports & Recreation > Sports Celebrities Should Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban be allowed to purchase the Chicago Cubs?

I think Cuban should be allowed to purchase the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs will have more winning seasons, more sustainable financial growth as well as more intense fan support, brought from his experience from owning his current sports team, the Dallas Mavericks. In any sports team, the actual stimulant for it to be more competitive in its league is actually winning. Only winning matters. Pre-Cuban Mavericks only won 6 playoff berths. Under Cuban, the Mavericks are in the playoffs 7 times. Under 7 years of ownership by Cuban, Mavericks not only had more playoff trips than they had before thei...
